Graduated in 2001 as a Technical, Scientific and Literary Translator at Instituto de Enseñanza Superior en Lenguas Vivas "J. R. Fernández", in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Currently living in Barcelona, Spain, since 2002.

Member of ATIC (Catalan Translators & Interpreters Association)

 

Main fields of expertise

General medicine and pharmacy: instructions for use, promotional brochures, reports, presentations and working procedures for various well-known pharmaceutical laboratories.

Industry: IOMs for steam traps and internals of distillation towers, catalogues. Lighting industry: reports, presentations, brochures and catalogues for a major multinational manufacturer.

Corporate procedures: internal procedures, regulations and standards, company presentations.

Humanities: essays and papers on socioeconomic and architectural history, among other academic works.

Audiovisual: television and movie subtitles on a voluntary basis for major American TV series and Divx films (translation, proofreading, and synchronization with and without script).

 

Computer equipment

Hardware: full multimedia PC with ADSL, high resolution scanner and printer, teleconference equipment, CD and DVD recorder, fax.

Software: Windows XP Pro, Microsoft Office 2003 Pro, Adobe Acrobat, Corel Suite, various DivX subtitling tools, multimedia files players and editors, Trados, several generic and specialised dictionaries and encyclopaedias on CD. Knowledge of web development, html and php among other IT resources.
